Background Info

It's been said that I am not an open book. I can live with that. But don't be surprised that I now have a blog. The purpose is to give everyone a place to get the latest on Marye's condition. Also, this way I won't have to make numerous calls to all of Marye's fans to keep everyone updated (she has a lot of fans). Having said that, I'm more than happy to talk to her fans and give any additional information or answer questions to anyone. I just prefer to do that via private phone calls or emails, which is why I'm using this and not a Facebook group.

I'll start by giving the background of what's happened since July 30, 2011, then start with daily updates. Start at the bottom for the whole story.

I will try to update this page every day as often as possible with her treatment and status. As I get more familiar with the features, I'll add links and email features, etc. Thanks.

About This Blog

On this page I'll list some specifics of what's going on with the blog.  I don't want to clutter up the update pages with this stuff, so I'll use this.  Anyway, I'm playing with Google Blogs and Google Analytics to figure out all the cool tricks that come with it.  So, you noticed by now that I changed the template for the blog.  I like this one better as it's a little easier to read on the web.  I may change it later if I get bored.

Also, I figured out to use the blog stats and Analytics to see how many people are reading the various posts.  I can't see who read what, but I can see how many people are reading the pages on the web.  Of course, if you get this blog delivered to your email and don't visit the website, I'll never know it.  Nothing to worry about with any of this, I'm just playing around and don't really care one way or another.  I'm not spying on your web browsing habits or keeping tabs on anyone.

Another thing: I discovered how to adjust the email delivery settings for all you subscribers.  Apparently, the emails don't get sent out when I publish them, but at a predetermined time every day, that I can set.  This means that if I don't get to make a post until late, I can set the email delivery for the overnight hours and it should be waiting in your inbox in the morning.  This way you won't have to wait until that evening to see it.  Of course, you can always just check the web site to see if there are any updates throughout the day, as I post irregularly.

Anyway, I hope the blog is helpful, however or however often you choose to check it.  I'm trying to put a good amount of detail about Marye's condition so people can follow along, without getting into too much detail about the many minor or personal things she's dealing with.  Sometimes you can get too much information, you know?  Ok, if anyone has any feedback for me regarding how the blog is helpful, or could be more so, send it on.  I'd love to hear it.  You all know how to get in touch with me.
